DISCOVER THE FINE ART OF SCULPTURE
EVES OF EIGHT ™
The Crafter's Studio

Specially requested projects and endeavours, such as public works, commemorative monuments or larger-scaled sculptures can be accommodated by our studio given set conditions and requirements.

While many things can represent an idea born of the mind, art expressively recreates the feelings behind that idea. Things that are often left unexplained by logical reason, such as emotions, beliefs and aspirations, evolve and come together into a single peerless rendition for the whole of society to interpret and appreciate.
A ball of earthen clay or a block of uncarved wax, can in a matter of weeks, acquire the sensory likeness of someone's most cherished youthful memory. Sculpture is one of the most intuitive artforms of mankind. We intentionally change the shapeless into something of personal recognition and intimate familiarity.

PUBLIC PROJECTS & COMMISSIONED PROPOSALS

While our studio atelier collaborates with organisations and private individuals for specialty projects year-round, we reserve the right to assess each project or bespoke artwork request for its current feasibility in terms of idea conceptualisation and timeline. Additionally our price base for these endeavours may intrinsically differ from that set for standard gallery artworks, as these incur additional requirements, time and costs.

PROJECT INFORMATION
FINE SCULPTURE AND PRIVATE COMMISSIONS

While our studio atelier collaborates with organisations and private individuals for specialty projects year-round, we reserve the right to assess each project or bespoke artwork request for its current feasibility in terms of idea conceptualisation and timeline. Additionally our price base for these endeavours may intrinsically differ from that set for standard gallery artworks, as these incur additional requirements, time and costs.

A PERSONAL APPROACH

Every custom project is started out with a clear communication directive between the artist and his clientele's deciding party. Schedules and other matters of concern may be discussed prior to beginning the design.

This specific genre of service is more reserved towards large or publicly viewable pieces, but is not strictly limited to these two descriptions. Commissioned works for private groups, universities, businesses and independent collectors have also been completed throughout the years.

CREATION AND PLANNING

Most selections from the artist's palette of materials can be traced back to the various casting processes. Slow-cast marble for sculpted artworks and high karat gold for fine jewellery are the most current options for all commissioned projects, along with brass sheeting, bronze coating and contouring in hybrid polymers, which are available depending on the size constraints of a design.

While most of the projects we receive at the studio push through all year, we sometimes reserve the right to hold operations at the atelier for certain periods of time depending on the season. Regradless, we still put the client's due date requirement first though (for already accepted proposals), and all information is freely disclosed regarding any changes to the set schedule.

Sculptures, public monuments or art-jewelry regalia requested through the commissioning process are designed solely by the artist himself, with an initial concept base stemming from the clientele's proposal or idea. Each project's cost must be covered in partial breadth (30% to 50% depending on the nature of the project) by the interested client party before the artist begins on the first stage of his design. During this initial sketchwork phase, partial revisions can be made to the design should there be need for some alterations. Succeeding revisions are hardly made during the clay-working phases or wax-carving phases if requested or possible at all. These late alterations would most likely seek adjustments to the timeline, and in some cases may incur additional requirements to the project.

While proposals for quantity-based sculptures are also welcome, we do state that each art piece that passes through our studio is finished with intensive care by the artist and his assistive team. These special pieces are made independently of each other, and may sometimes show slight differences due to the unique process of their creation. Likewise, pricing rates for multiple editions are also not to be likened at all to those of standard mass-production operations, as these will still stand closer to normal artwork prices of the current year.

Works intended for community viewing and scale, such as large centerpieces for institutional museums, leisure venues (i.e. resorts and hotels, cruiseships, ), corporate building lobbies, or wide public spaces may be considered for special rates, depending on the specific location, nature and other conditions present for the project.
